Professor Ntebogeng Mokgalaka-Fleischmann is an experienced academic leader and Full Professor with over 25 years in higher education. She is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science at Tshwane University of Technology and a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher. Her expertise includes drought prediction, indigenous weather knowledge, wireless sensor networks, science leadership, and promoting women in STEM.
Professor Ntebogeng Mokgalaka-Fleischmann is a distinguished academic leader and researcher with over 25 years of experience in higher education and science leadership. She holds a Doctor of Technology in Chemistry and an MBA in Education Management, and has served in several senior leadership roles across South African universities. She is currently the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science at Tshwane University of Technology, where she contributes to advancing science education, research, and innovation. Professor Mokgalaka-Fleischmann previously served as the Director of Mamelodi Campus at the University of Pretoria and as the inaugural Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Agriculture at the University of Venda. She is a Full Professor and a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher, recognised for her contributions to scientific research and academic development. She has played an active role in national and international academic initiatives, serving on several boards and advisory committees related to science, education, and sustainability. She currently serves as a council member of the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP), chairs the Qualifications Assessment Committee, and is also a member of the UNESCO Natural Sciences Sector Committee. Professor Mokgalaka-Fleischmann is committed to promoting science awareness, supporting women in STEM, and strengthening research capacity both nationally and internationally. Her research focuses on drought prediction, indigenous knowledge on weather patterns, and wireless sensor networks, contributing to sustainable solutions that support environmental resilience and community development.
