Agricultural extension and gender expert whose work focuses on rural development, smallholder farming, and women’s empowerment. Her research addresses extension systems, community engagement, and institutional support for improving livelihoods in developing contexts.
Prof. Oluwakemi Enitan Fapojuwo is a Professor of Agricultural Extension Administration at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, with over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and community development. She holds a PhD in Agricultural Extension from the University of Ibadan and has received additional training from institutions such as the University of Pretoria and Wageningen University. Her work focuses on agricultural extension systems, rural sociology, and gender mainstreaming, particularly in supporting smallholder farmers and improving the livelihoods of rural women. She has published widely in local and international journals and has been actively involved in consultancy projects related to extension services, stakeholder engagement, capacity development, and project evaluation across Africa. Prof. Fapojuwo also contributes to academia as an editor and reviewer, is a member of professional bodies including the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education, and is deeply committed to mentorship, training, and advancing gender equality in agricultural and community-based institutions.
