Jacqueline Tembu is an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Tshwane University of Technology. She is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong background in natural products and organic chemistry, having previously worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). She holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Surrey and an MBA in Education Management from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Her work focuses on advancing chemical research, mentoring postgraduate students, and contributing to scientific innovation through both teaching and international collaboration. She has actively participated in global scientific conferences, contributing to research discussions in medicinal plants and natural product development, and continues to play a key role in strengthening research capacity within higher education in South Africa.
