Biography
Professor Yvonne Paul is a leading expert in Sport Science, Biokinetics, and Health & Wellness promotion, with extensive experience in research, teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She earned her BA (HMS) in 1996, HDE in 1997, and BA HONS (Human Movement Science) in 1998 at the University of Durban Westville (now University of KwaZulu-Natal), her Master’s in 2002 at the University of Pretoria, a B-Tech in Biokinetics in 2009 at Tshwane University of Technology, and her PhD in Sport Science and Physiology (specialising in Diabetes Mellitus and Exercise) in 2011 at the University of Pretoria. At Tshwane University of Technology, Professor Paul drives research in health promotion, therapeutic exercise, rehabilitative treatment, and performance enhancement, establishing interdisciplinary links across Nursing Sciences, Performing Arts, and Business programs. She has supervised numerous South African postgraduate students, fostering academic growth and advancing research capacity in her field. Her work has received international recognition, leading to multiple keynote and chairperson invitations at national and international conferences.
